Drawing a bright future for PCCK amidst the fervent enthusiasm of its members.

The historic first step of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce in Korea (PCCK), the '1st Annual General Meeting to Commemorate the Establishment', was successfully held on September 6, 2025, amidst the enthusiastic interest and participation of its members.

This general meeting, the first held since receiving official approval for establishment from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on June 10th, was a meaningful occasion, announcing to both internal and external parties that PCCK has embarked on a new leap forward as a true corporation. With the active participation of our members and a hopeful atmosphere, it was a valuable opportunity to confirm PCCK's bright future.

Vision and Promise for the Future: A Message from Chairman Lee Jong-kwang

Chairman Lee Jong-kwang began his remarks by saying, "I express my deepest gratitude and respect to all the executives and members, including our founding chairman, Lee Jang-hee, who have laid the foundation for PCCK over the past five years." He continued, "We are now at a point of new growth," and outlined three goals for PCCK going forward.

  • Expanding Economic Exchanges: Beyond simple trade, we will discover and support practical cooperation projects in diverse fields, including advanced technology, IT, and energy.
  • Promoting Cultural Exchange: We will foster a deeper understanding and connection between our two countries through events that showcase the diverse cultures of our two countries.
  • Strengthening Future-Oriented Cooperation: We will encourage the participation of young people, women entrepreneurs, and startups to explore new paths for sustainable growth.

Past Dedication, Future Foundation: Remarks from Inaugural Chairman Lee Jang-hee

In his opening remarks, founding president Lee Jang-hee reflected, "We held an inauguration ceremony in 2019 and officially launched in 2020, but we had to temporarily suspend our activities due to the global COVID-19 pandemic." He added, "That period was a time for strategic reorganization, internally re-evaluating the organization's direction and preparing for an even greater leap forward." He also expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the hard work of our members, we are able to announce a new beginning as a non-profit organization today. I would like to express my gratitude to current president Lee Jong-kwang and the executive team for their tireless efforts." He promised continued support.

Report on key achievements and approve future plans

At the general meeting, PCCK shared its future direction through a report on the progress of its establishment and the presentation of its "Hope Vision 2025." Specifically, 14 core tasks in four areas, including "Support for Overseas Export Companies" and "Improving Member Welfare and Rights," were presented and unanimously approved by the members. The meeting also included the introduction of the newly formed executive team and the presentation of their certificates of appointment.

Building on the success of this general meeting, PCCK pledges to move forward even more vigorously as a steadfast partner of its members, contributing to the economic development of both countries. We ask for your continued interest and participation in our future activities.
