Introduction to the Subcommittee
Introducing the specialized subcommittees, the core driving force of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce in Korea (PCCK). (As of September 3, 2025)
PCCK's greatest strength lies in its specialized subcommittees, composed of top experts in various fields. The committees provide diverse expertise and networks to help member companies grow their businesses and vitalize exchanges between the two countries.
1. Advisory Committee
- Introduction: Composed of prominent experts in various fields such as environment, national tax, law, accounting, and energy. It provides comprehensive advice on judicial, administrative, tax, labor, and immigration matters to companies pursuing or operating Pakistan-related businesses, as well as Pakistani immigrants residing in Korea, multicultural families, international students, and workers. It also carries out public interest activities such as legal support for workers suffering industrial accidents, job placement, and legal services and visa information for those wishing to start a business.
2. Community Committee
- Introduction: Supports the formation of networks between Pakistani residents in Korea and Korean businesspeople. It serves as a focal point for the Pakistani community by participating in community unity events, supporting Pakistan National Day events, providing job placement, and interpreting assistance. It also acts as a communication channel for conveying the grievances of domestic companies to the Pakistani Embassy.
3. Labor & Student Committee
- Introduction: Supports Pakistani workers and international students staying in Korea to settle stably. It helps overcome economic difficulties through job placement, and especially helps international students grow into leaders in Pakistan after graduation and maintain continuous ties with the club. It aims to instill a positive image of Korea through scholarships and event support.
4. Global Service Committee
- Introduction: Carries out various public interest and humanitarian activities to broaden understanding of Pakistan and support local underprivileged groups in need. It conducts small-scale projects at the request of local governments in Gujranwala, Lahore, etc., and strengthens ties between the two countries by engaging in volunteer activities in various fields such as medicine, construction, health, hygiene, education, and sports.
5. International Trade & Industry Committee
- Introduction: Provides necessary local information about Pakistan to domestic companies and strengthens exchanges with the Pakistani government to resolve practical difficulties encountered during business promotion. It in-depth discusses newly enacted policies to enhance the competitiveness of member companies and serves as a platform for trade diplomacy, including expanding exports, discovering cooperation projects between local governments, fostering next-generation global leaders, and organizing various seminars and trade exhibitions.
6. External Cooperation Committee
- Introduction: Centered on experts in law and immigration, including visas, it quickly identifies changes in Pakistan's legislative, judicial, administrative, and economic policies and provides information. It oversees external activities for exchange and cooperation with Pakistani government, military, police, National Assembly, and other state agencies, as well as local associations and local governments, aiming to establish stable cooperative relationships.
7. Cultural Exchange Committee
- Introduction: Creates a cultural environment where Pakistani youth can feel positive sentiments towards Korea and realize their dreams. It organizes research, seminars, and lectures for friendly exchanges between the two societies and contributes to strengthening ties between the two countries through various cultural exchange projects such as Hallyu culture and traditional Korean games.
