Joining hands with Gujranwala, one of Pakistan's four major cities, opens a new chapter in bilateral business exchanges.
The Pakistan Chamber of Commerce in Korea (PCCK), a non-profit organization, has taken a significant first step toward strengthening its economic cooperation network with Pakistan. On February 15th, PCCK Vice Presidents Taj Zein and Mustafa, along with other visiting Pakistani executives, paid an official visit to Gujranwala, one of Pakistan's four major cities.
During the visit, the PCCK delegation met with key executives of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including Chairman Muhammad Shoaib Butt and Vice Chairman Amour, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster mutual development between the two organizations. The luncheon meeting following the signing ceremony featured in-depth discussions on promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and on key initiatives.
Strategic Partnership with Gujranwala, a Hub of Investment
Gujranwala is a key industrial city in Pakistan, boasting a strategic location adjacent to an international airport and bordering India. Its safe and clean environment has led to active new city development, making it a popular destination for foreign investment.
This MOU is significant in that it provides a crucial bridgehead for our member companies to enter this high-potential market. The Chairman and Mayor of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as local business leaders, actively requested additional visits to Pakistan by PCCK executives and pledged their warmest welcome.
A Vision for the Future: Building a Network of Four Cities in Pakistan
Starting with this agreement with the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PCCK plans to expand its cooperative relationships with other major cities in Pakistan. It is currently working on signing MOUs with chambers of commerce in three cities: the capital city of Islamabad, the economic hub of Lahore, and Mirpur.
PCCK will continue to build a strong network with local Pakistanis and do its best to support the successful business of our member companies.
